Christmas 2015 Home Tour

Christmas is my favorite time of year.  I love everything about it!  One of my favorite parts is the decorating.  I’m one of those people who starts decorating on November 1.  I want to soak up every second of this season and enjoy all the time I can with my beloved decorations.  I love getting out everything and deciding where to place them.  This year was extra special because my mother in saw gave my husband a huge box of decorations from his childhood and my mom gave me a box of my childhood decorations as well.  My husband and I had the best time going through our boxes together, talking about stories and memories with our families then putting the decorations on our tree with all the ornaments we’ve collected since we got married.  Its the most special tree we’ve ever had and just looking at it makes me so happy.  We barely had enough space on the branches for all the ornaments.  We may have to get a second tree next year!  I usually buy a few new decorations every year to add to my collection but its the sentimental family ones that mean the most to me.  The older and more well loved, the better.  I love mixing the old with the new.  I decided to do a neutral theme this year with some plaid and red sprinkled in.  I’m so happy with the way it turned out!

Merry Christmas!
